Do you want to be able to read Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil & Telugu on your Android device?. It is possible on Android 4.0.3+ . IceCream Sandwich ( Android 4) enabled Indic font rendering on your apps and browser.
As a continuation to Malayalam Font for Android ICS & Gingerbread , I’ve implemented the solution for almost all Indic Languages. The complex letters based on combination of sounds may not render properly but you will be able to read the scripts nevertheless.
Languages supported till now are:
Steps:
- Copy the right ZIP file for your phone/ROM to your SD card.
